Better breathing & heart-lung function, thus – immune response

Singing triggers physiological responses similar to moderate physical activity, increasing oxygen consumption and breathing control.

The study held in 2002 involved three groups: active participation (singing and drumming), passive participation (listening to music), and a control group.
Result: The active music group (including singing) showed a significant increase in secretory immunoglobulin A (s-IgA) compared to the passive and control groups, indicating enhanced immunity. Link to the summary of the trial in PubMed
